Children's Library
We are building a children’s library to promote the culture of reading among children and enable access to the vibrant world of books.
Our library currently caters to children upto 10 years of age with over 2000 books in English, Hindi and Assamese. These include picture books, story books and activity books for different reading and comprehension levels. Every Sunday, storytelling sessions are held to engage children, inviting them to the world of art, creativity, imagination and expression.
Our aim in the long run is to expand library access to all children in the community, introducing them to a wide variety of children’s literature, strengthening literacy and reading habit, and encouraging engagement with art and creative expression.

In addition to the children’s library, we organize weekly storytelling sessions every Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Haatipoti Playschool, Jorhat.
Participation:

Children from the playschool and nearby communities can freely join the sessions.

Parents who are interested in sharing stories can register with us in advance.

Volunteers and storytellers from different backgrounds are also welcome to contribute by conducting sessions.
